Factors that will influence starting salaries and lead to some variation include:
- hours worked in an average week
- professional registration requirements and industry views of competency level
- age and level of previous experience
- market demand as reflected by relative levels of graduate supply and demand.
Starting salaries
The 2011 Graduate Destinations Survey revealed that the median starting salary for UWA bachelor degree graduates in full-time work was $57,000.
As Table 3 below demonstrates, the starting salary for a UWA bachelor degree graduate has consistently been at superior levels to that observed nationally and for Western Australia.
